Westerner - Guest Services Supervisor
Position Overview
The Guest Services Supervisor supports the coordination of Westerner Days internal activations taking place July 15–19, 2026. Reporting to the Tickets Alberta Manager, this role oversees the daily operations of the information booth, ensuring staff and volunteers provide accurate information and exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for team coordination, issue resolution, and maintaining service standards. The role plays an important part in maintaining the overall quality of Westerner Days and supporting the successful delivery of events at Westerner Park.
KeyAreas of Responsibility
- Supervise Guest Services Attendants and volunteers to create a safe, fun and exciting environment throughout all fair operation days.
- Coordinate shift coverage, breaks, and task assignments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated concerns and ensure consistent information is provided to guests.
- Liaise with internal departments which include security, box office, and event operations.
- Assist with training and onboarding of staff and volunteers, as well as providing guidance, coaching and support to team members.
- Respond to incidents and, when required, elevate to appropriate departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post‑secondary education in Event Planning, Business Management, or a related field (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
- Strong multitasking, problem‑solving, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing collaboratively within a team environment.
- Availability to work all required shifts during Westerner Days from July 14–19, 2026, including days, evenings, and extended hours as needed based on operational needs.
