Join Cancer Care Alberta as a full-time Hematologist specializing in Hematologic Malignancies at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre in Red Deer. Play a vital role in patient care and multidisciplinary cancer initiatives.
This full-time position focuses on malignant hematology services within the Central Zone. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners, and support staff, contributing to clinical case reviews and provincial tumor team meetings. A commitment to local quality assurance and improvement initiatives is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide malignant hematology services in ambulatory clinics
• Participate in clinical case reviews and tumor board rounds
• Engage actively in local quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Attend annual provincial tumor team meetings
Requirements:
• MD and FRCPC (or equivalent) in Hematology
• Additional training in Malignant Hematology preferred
• Eligibility for licensure in Alberta
• Proven clinical experience in hematology
• Commitment to patient-centered care
