Position Overview

The Learning Solutions Coordinator position coordinates the work of the Learning Solutions Team, which designs and develops relevant programs responsive to identified client and community needs. The Learning Solutions Coordinator facilitates the flow of information between the Client Relations, Learning Solutions and Operations/Delivery teams to ensure programs, services, and events meet delivery dates and expectations.

Position Responsibilities Coordination of Learning Solutions Team
  • Collaborates with Program Growth and Quality Manager (PGQM) on identification and tracking of projects across Continuing and Credit Programs for development and review
  • Assigns team members to CECT program development/delivery projects
  • Troubleshoots issues and, where needed, escalates to relevant parties
  • Ensures channels exist for timely and smooth communication and hand‑off of content and materials between groups and team members
  • Meets with and monitors work of contracted consultants to ensure deliverables are met within the required time frames and troubleshoots as required
  • Escalates issues related to consultants or team members not meeting expectations after completing initial conversation and coaching
Program Development
  • Collaborates with PGQM on identifying new programs and courses to meet the needs of business, industry, and the community that can be developed through CECT’s Learning Solutions Team
  • Coordinates with the PGQM on engagement with business and industry representatives for input into programming
  • Engages the Data and Reporting Analyst in conducting market research and needs assessment
  • Develops/creates courses/programs with the opportunity for laddering and stacking toward RDP credit programs using micro‑credentialing and program recognition
  • Collaborates with Client Relations, Dean, Director to customize programs and courses for contract training needs and support training proposals to clients
  • Prepares and submits grant applications and reports as required
  • In collaboration with the Director, CECT determines when to Broker/Buy/Build curriculum and evolves curriculum as required
  • Coordinates the process of curriculum design and development in consultation with subject matter experts (SME) and Learning Designers within the spending limits established by the Director
  • Develops and maintains professional contacts to support programming needs of RDP. Identifies and develops alternate course/program delivery models
  • Evaluates and approves course curriculum development and implementation
  • Ensures Learning Solutions Specialists have program/course information required to complete program planning & delivery details for handoff to Operations
  • Scopes and costs programs for delivery with input from Operations
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitors feedback related to learning delivery for adherence to institutional, regulatory, or accreditation standards
  • Participates in course reviews, evaluations, and data collection related to learner satisfaction and outcomes
  • Tracks issues, risks, and improvement actions related to program delivery
  • Contributes to documentation, process improvement, and best practice sharing
Administrative & Project Support
  • Provides input to PGQM and school leadership regarding budget and business plan targets and supports achievement of school revenue targets
  • Tracks learning activities, deadlines, and deliverables using project or workflow tools
  • Maintains accurate records, documentation, and version control for learning materials
  • Supports reporting related to enrolment, completion, and participation metrics
Required Qualifications
  • 4‑year Undergraduate Degree in education or instructional design, adult learning, business, or other related field
  • Over 5 years experience in post‑secondary education and corporate training in a program development or teaching capacity
  • 3‑5 years of experience working as a team lead or supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in education or instructional design, adult learning, business, or other related field
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
