Position: CAREERS Indigenous Program Coordinator Opening
Join CAREERS:
The Next Generation as a Program Coordinator focused on supporting Indigenous youth transitions into meaningful internships in Central Alberta. Foster career readiness through direct coaching.

This full-time, temporary role until September 2025 targets youth aged 15 to 30. Assist with essential skills like resume writing and interview prep while connecting with employers to create internship opportunities. Collaboration with schools and community organizations is key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach youth on resumes and interview skills

• Work with school coaching staff to identify opportunities

• Forge relationships with Indigenous employers for internships

• Maintain detailed data and track interactions

• Conduct ongoing follow-ups for retention and success

Requirements:

• Background in education, Indigenous studies, or social work

• Proficient in virtual and in-person presentation

• Commitment to Indigenous culture and reconciliation

• Must have a valid driver’s license for travel

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
