Teacher - Student Support Lead

Position Overview

Chinook’s Edge School Division invites applications for a full‑time teaching position at École John Wilson Elementary School (Grades K‑4) in Innisfail, effective the first day of the 2026‑2027 school year through June 30, 2027. The successful candidate will serve as a Student Support Lead (SSL), supporting inclusive education, addressing diverse learning and complex needs, and leading school‑wide social‑emotional learning initiatives for staff and students.

• Teach and support students in grades K‑4.
• Develop and implement inclusive educational strategies.
• Address diverse learning and complex needs of students.
• Lead school‑wide social‑emotional learning initiatives for staff and students.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to foster a calm, confident, and supportive school environment.

• Valid Alberta Teacher Certificate.
• Relevant experience preferred.
• Commitment to inclusive education and social‑emotional learning.
• Eligibility to provide a criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check.
