Assignment

• Part-time 0.872 FTE Educational Assistant position
• Duties to commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year
• The ideal candidate will have skills and experience supporting students with diverse leaning and behavioral needs including ASD, ADHD, ODD, complex behavioral challenges and academic learning difficulties in a junior high classroom setting

• Highly skilled and experienced working with students with severe complex needs
• Student centered approach with a proven ability to build positive trusting relationships with students, staff and families
• Ability to take initiative, have sound judgement, and an ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations are essential
• Collaborative team player who is committed to helping every student succeed
• Ability to contribute to a positive, caring, inclusive, and supportive school culture
• Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
• Patience and experience supporting students with complex learning and behavioral needs.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training would be considered an asset
• Experience and/or training in a Junior High School setting
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
• Flexibility to work in a variety of programs
