ASL at Eastview Middle School

Position: ASL Support Role at Eastview Middle School
Join Eastview Middle School as an ASL Transl iterator for 30 hours weekly, starting August 24, 2026. Provide essential ASL support to enhance the learning experience of students.

This position is temporary, replacing a leave of absence and may extend beyond June 30, 2027. Candidates must demonstrate fluency in American Sign Language, ideally at level 4, and possess a background in working with children with autism. Strong technological skills and collaborative abilities are crucial for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver ASL in English Language Order for student support

• Work collaboratively with teachers to facilitate learning

• Manage classroom dynamics to promote engagement

• Utilize Google Apps for Education for communication

• Solve problems effectively to assist student needs

Requirements:

• Fluency in American Sign Language, level 4 is an asset

• Experience dealing with children with autism

• High proficiency in technology, especially Google Apps

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

• Must complete a vulnerable sector criminal record check
