In this role at Parkland School, you will assist 25 exceptional learners, aged 6 to 19, with developmental, physical, and medical needs. Your responsibilities will revolve around developing and implementing individualized programming and ensuring an engaging curriculum tailored to each student’s requirements. Collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams will be essential for effective inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish a safe and engaging learning environment

• Implement student-centered curriculum modifications

• Collaborate with families and specialized teams

• Employ strong leadership among classroom aides

• Promote inclusive opportunities within and outside the school

Requirements:

• Interim or permanent certification from Alberta Education

• Relevant experience in special needs education

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle personal care support

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture is beneficial
