Position: Full-Time Student Advisor Polytechnic
Support student success at Red Deer Polytechnic as a full-time Student Connect Centre Advisor. Provide essential academic and funding guidance to current and prospective students.

As a Student Advisor, you will deliver academic advising to Open Studies and Academic Upgrading students. You'll assist with enrollment processes, funding applications, and provide essential workshop sessions. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to foster relationships in a dynamic academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic advising and support for student inquiries

• Educate students on registration processes and forms

• Lead funding workshops for students seeking financial aid

• Assist with Emergency Funding support, including bursaries

• Collaborate with team members on recruitment initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

• 1-2 years in a similar advisory role preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

• Experience with student information systems is an asset
