Position: 26/27 Teacher (Competition #T2526-0208)
Location: Bentley

Bentley School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school located in a supportive rural community. We pride ourselves on fostering strong relationships, maintaining high expectations for student success, and creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students.

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about student learning, demonstrates strong instructional practices, and is committed to creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Assignment

Full-time 1.0 FTE temporary replacement teaching position

Course load to include Grade 9-12 Language Arts and Grade 10-12 Foods

Duties to commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year.

Qualifications

Experience teaching Foods or related courses would be considered an asset

Experience teaching English Language Arts would be considered an asset

Ability and/or experience teaching Indigenous studies

Ability to contribute to a collaborative, student-focused junior high school team

Ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and differentiated learning experience

Ability to support diverse learners and adapt instruction to meet a variety of student needs

Commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Commitment to supporting student growth, both academically and socially

Passion for education and a commitment to student success

Effective classroom management that facilitates safe, caring, and inclusive spaces for all students

Commitment to collaboration with colleagues, staff, and adminsitration

Strong planning and organizational skills

Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment and be a positive team member

Commitment to ongoing professional growth
