Join Red Deer Polytechnic as a Sessional Instructor for Sprinkler System Installation. This role involves educating apprentices through innovative teaching methods in various formats.
The position requires an Alberta Journeyperson Certificate and at least five years of post-Journeyperson work experience. You will maintain and deliver the curriculum, partake in departmental initiatives, and help enhance student recruitment efforts. Experience teaching in-person and online adds to the ideal candidate’s qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop curriculum for the Sprinkler System Installer program
• Deliver instructions via in-person and virtual formats
• Participate in relevant school and program committees
• Actively promote and recruit students for the program
• Mentor apprentices, tailoring to diverse learning needs
Requirements:
• Must hold an Alberta Journeyperson Certificate
• At least 5 years of experience post-certification
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Public speaking ability for diverse audiences
