Become an integral part of Olds College as a Temporary Welding Instructional Assistant. Support instructors and enhance the learning experience for students through material preparation and hands-on assistance.
In this full-time position, you will collaborate closely with instructors to facilitate an effective learning environment. Your responsibilities include organizing materials, setting up labs, and offering support during class sessions. A passion for fostering inclusivity and student engagement is vital in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and distribute instructional materials and equipment
• Assist in the setup and takedown of welding labs
• Monitor exam sessions and provide lab support
• Maintain required records and inventory for classes
• Engage in college promotion and recruitment activities
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Certification in Welding, minimum 3 years related experience
• Teaching experience in post-secondary welding preferred
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of technology tools like Microsoft Office
