We are seeking a skilled, passionate Welding & Fabrication Teacher to lead our high school Fabrication program and spearhead our Dual Credit Welding program
. In this role, you won't just teach a trade; you will mentor young people, manage a fully equipped shop, and bridge the gap between high school and post‑secondary/industry success.

• Teach high school Fabrication courses.
• Lead the Dual Credit welding curriculum, ensuring students meet both high school graduation and post‑secondary technical training requirements.
• Foster a safe, structured, and supportive shop environment rooted in Gospel values of respect, stewardship, and community.

• Maintain, organize, and manage all shop equipment.
• Enforce rigorous safety protocols and cultivate a "safety‑first" mentality among students.
• Manage inventory, order consumables (wire, gas, steel), and oversee the program budget.

• Serve as the primary liaison with our post‑secondary Dual Credit partner.
• Participate in school community life (e.g., staff prayer, school liturgies, or faith‑based professional development).

• Journeyman Welding Certificate / Red Seal (or equivalent regional master‑level credential) is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in multiple welding processes and blueprint reading.
• Previous experience mentoring apprentices or teaching youth is a massive asset.

• Valid Teaching Certificate/License (or willingness to obtain an alternative/vocational teaching pathway certificate through the province).
• Alternative:
  Significant industry experience with a commitment to pursuing a vocational teaching pathway (we will help support the right candidate through this process).

• Comfortable working within a Catholic educational environment and supporting the faith mission of the school.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Alberta teaching certificate.
