Position: Academic Tutor – Writing Leadership Role
Become the Academic Tutor for Writing at Red Deer Polytechnic and enhance student writing skills through effective tutoring and resource management. This position allows you to shape academic success both online and in-person.

In your role as Lead Academic Tutor, you will support fellow tutors while directly impacting student learning. Collaborate with the Academic Integrity Coordinator to craft high-quality writing workshops and resources for learners. This position also involves assessing student needs and coordinating schedules for tutoring staff effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted writing tutoring sessions to students

• Oversee consistency in writing tutoring standards

• Develop resources for academic writing workshops

• Coordinate tutor scheduling and performance feedback

• Manage social media to promote tutoring services

Requirements:

• Four-year degree in relevant writing discipline

• 3-5 years’ experience in tutoring or teaching

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
