As a Specialized Teacher, you will create an engaging learning environment tailored to students aged 6 to 19. Your responsibilities include developing individualized program plans and modifying the curriculum to support diverse needs. Building strong partnerships with multidisciplinary teams and families will be essential for fostering inclusion in the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement student-centered programming and IPPs

• Create a structured learning environment for diverse learning needs

• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families

• Guide specialized student aides with effective classroom management

• Support personal care and inclusion in both school and community

Requirements:

• Certification from Alberta Education (interim or permanent)

• Experience with special needs education is highly desirable

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexibility and patience in teaching approach

• Appreciation of Indigenous traditions and culture preferred
