Position Title Athletics Game Attendant (Hiring Year Round)
Position Summary
The Athletics department is hiring multiple positions with start dates throughout the year. Hours will be variable and dependent upon athletic game schedules. This posting will remain open until April 1, 2027 and review of applicants will be ongoing. The Athletics Games Attendant will provide support for the successful running and reporting of Intercollegiate Athletics Games at Red Deer Polytechnic and will contribute to the creation of a safe, exciting and positive environment for all participants.
Position Responsibilities
Support for Intercollegiate Athletic Games:
- Provides live, in-game statistical spotting to support accurate statistics recording and communicates relevant game information with officials and coaching staff as needed.
- Performs timekeeping, scorekeeping, shot clock operation, and score sheet recording, ensuring accurate game documentation and effective communication with the head official.
- Supports the Athletics Lead Attendant with in-game fan engagement activities, contests, giveaways, promotions, and crowd management to help ensure a safe and enjoyable event experience.
- Operates and supports webcast, camera, and livestream production for ACAC TV broadcasts.
- Completes pre- and post-event set up and take down.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer service is an asset
- Interest and some knowledge or interest in Athletics desired
- Knowledge of Red Deer Polytechnic environment (Athletics) preferred
Salary or Hourly? Hourly
Salary $19.65 per hour
Benefits and Compensation Information
An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
