Educational Assistant at Mountview Elementary

Join Mountview Elementary as an Educational Assistant, providing crucial support to K-5 students for 30 hours weekly. This temporary position offers the chance to create valued relationships and promote inclusive education.

Applicants should possess an Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience and have skills in supporting students with complex educational needs, including Autism. Key Responsibilities:

• Support K-5 students with their daily learning needs

• Facilitate positive relationships with students and staff

• Collaborate with paraprofessionals such as speech pathologists

• Assist in promoting inclusive educational environments

• Engage with each student's unique educational requirements

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Certificate or similar credentials

• Experience with complex special educational needs

• Ability to work well within a team

• NVCI or SIVA training preferred

• Current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check needed
