Join École Olds High School in a part-time (0.5 FTE) role as a Complexity Support Teacher to enhance foundational literacy and numeracy. This temporary teaching position focuses on delivering targeted interventions through June 30, 2027.
Chinook's Edge School Division is looking for a dedicated educator skilled in English as an Additional Language instruction, social-emotional learning, and supporting neurodivergent students. This role involves implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to address diverse academic and behavioral needs for Grades 9-12. Collaborate closely with both students and stakeholders to ensure effective strategies are employed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver small-group interventions for learning gaps
• Conduct screenings to identify and track skills
• Design Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for individual needs
• Utilize assessments for continuous progress monitoring
• Maintain detailed records of student growth
Requirements:
• Valid Alberta Teacher Certificate
• Expertise in literacy and numeracy interventions
• Knowledge of emotional regulation and SEL strategies
• Experience with diverse learning needs
• Ability to provide criminal record checks
