International Student Advisor

Position: Full-Time International Student Advisor RDP
Join Red Deer Polytechnic as a Full-Time International Student Navigator, dedicated to enhancing the educational journey of international students. Provide vital support from their initial admission to graduation.

As the International Student Navigator, you will serve as the primary advisor for international students, offering them essential resources for adapting to life in Canada.

Your role includes guiding students on immigration matters while collaborating closely with various support divisions to ensure their seamless integration and academic success at the Polytechnic. Your proactive engagement will be crucial in identifying and responding to the unique needs of these students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on cultural adjustments and local integration

• Proactively support students’ requests and navigate resources

• Communicate with students prior to arrival in Canada

• Ensure awareness of students’ rights and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate immigration information

Requirements:

• Four-year degree or three-year with additional study

• RISIA designation required for immigration advising

• At least two years of relevant experience preferred

• Strong communication skills in diverse settings

• Excellent organizational abilities in high-pressure situations
