Project Coordinator Co-op Position

Advance your engineering career with Canem Systems as a Project Coordinator co-op. This hands-on role based in Red Deer, Alberta, focuses on the practical application of Electrical Engineering knowledge.

This four-month internship starting in September 2026 provides an opportunity to engage with real construction projects at Canem Systems, a well-respected contractor in electrical and mechanical services. Participants will coordinate various project aspects, from trade supervision to maintaining schedules, with mentorship from professionals. You will manage responsibilities aligned with your studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage coordination of drawings and work scopes

• Supervise fieldwork and verify site conditions

• Update and maintain project scheduling information

• Document project progress and produce as-built drawings

• Conduct project meetings and update logs

Requirements:

• Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program

• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to adapt in a changing environment

• Valid permit to work in Alberta
