Senior Municipal Engineer

At Englobe you will collaborate on diverse projects in renewable energies, hydroelectricity, transportation, materials, buildings, and climate change markets, contributing to the design and delivery of municipal infrastructure.

• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.
• Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion.
• Review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Document report writing and preparation.
• Perform construction contract management.
• Manage project timelines and budgets.
• Estimate costs for projects.
• Liaise with clients and contractors to ensure project success.
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections across multiple disciplines.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists.
• Demonstrate self‑motivation and leadership ability.
• Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in water distribution, wastewater collection, transportation, stormwater management, and drainage systems.
• Must have a P.Eng designation and be in good standing with APEGA.
• Proficiency in computer software for modelling and spreadsheet analysis.
• Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere.
• Self‑motivated with leadership potential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Local to Red Deer, Alberta, or open to relocation.
