Stantec's Power team in Edmonton, Alberta, seeks experienced Electrical Engineers with a specialization in Power Systems. You will handle engineering studies, detailed designs, and prepare proposals while mentoring junior engineers. Your expertise in commissioned projects will significantly contribute to efficient and reliable substations across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform engineering studies, including power flow and short circuit
• Conduct detailed designs of substation layouts and specifications
• Prepare technical specifications for construction and testing
• Provide technical support for all project phases
• Conduct site visits to assist with design verification and support
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering specialized in Power Systems
• Minimum 6 years of high-voltage substation experience
• Professional Engineer registration (P.Eng) required
• Experience with PSSE, PSCAD, and AutoCAD is an asset
• Valid driver’s license
