Process Engineering Co-op at Nutrien

Nutrien seeks a motivated Process Engineering Co-op student for the Joffre Nitrogen Operations team. Engage in hands-on engineering analysis and support plant operations during this 12- or 16-month term.

This on-site role, starting May 2026, is ideal for students with a minimum of 2 years in Chemical Engineering. You will collaborate with operations and maintenance teams, participate in troubleshooting, and help develop essential documentation for safety and efficiency. This position fosters a chance to contribute to major engineering projects and process safety management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technical services for efficient operations

• Conduct process troubleshooting and root cause analysis

• Develop and update operating procedures and reports

• Conduct field walkdowns for system understanding

• Support Process Safety Management (PSM) activities

Requirements:

• Enrolled in Chemical Engineering with 2 years completed

• Analyze piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&'s)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and data analytics

• Experience with process simulation software preferred
