Intermediate Civil Engineer

The successful candidate will take an important role in design and project management within MPE’s Water Resources team. The position requires a broad range of skills and experience in a wide variety of water resource projects. The position will be based in MPE’s Red Deer office.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Registration with APEGA as an Engineer (P.Eng.)
- 5 to 10 years of experience in engineering including design, management, construction supervision, and project management, preferably for water resource related projects
- Experience completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology as well as use of hydraulic modeling software is desirable
- Self‑motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering
- Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists
- Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties
- Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met
