Intermediate Civil Engineer

The successful candidate will take an important role in design and project management within MPE’s Water Resources team. The position requires a broad range of skills and experience in a wide variety of water resource projects. The position will be based in MPE’s Red Deer office.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Registration with APEGA as an Engineer (P.Eng.)
• 5 to 10 years of experience in engineering including design, management, construction supervision, and project management, preferably for water resource related projects
• Experience completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology as well as use of hydraulic modeling software is desirable
• Self‑motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering
• Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists
• Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties
• Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met
