Traffic Guard – Endurance Event Days (Temporary, Red Deer, AB)
Every great event runs on the people who keep it moving, and that's exactly the role you'd be stepping into. As a Traffic Guard, you'll be stationed at the heart of the action, making sure the right people get where they need to go and everyone else stays safely out of the way. It's active, outdoor, fast-paced work, and full training is provided on the day, so you'll walk in ready.
This is a short commitment with real impact. Over two days, you'll be trusted to keep a critical piece of a large-scale event running smoothly, working alongside a team that's counting on you to be sharp, dependable, and calm under pressure.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

Unlike a lot of temporary gigs, this one puts you right in the middle of a genuinely exciting event rather than behind the scenes. You'll report directly to a Zone Leader, giving you a clear point of contact and real-time support throughout your shift. There's a good amount of autonomy in how you manage your zone, paired with the stability of fixed dates, fixed hours, and a fixed rate — no ambiguity about what you're signing up for.

It's also a great way to build event and hospitality experience for future opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Keep traffic moving smoothly by directing participants to offsite parking and preventing on-site parking
  • Verify credentials and grant access to authorized staff and vendors
  • Stay in constant communication with your Zone Leader and event staff to flag and resolve issues in real time
What We're Looking For
  • Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and long outdoor shifts in any weather
  • Sharp, alert, and able to stay focused for the full shift
  • Clear communicator who works well with a team and event staff
  • High integrity, reliability, and attention to detail
  • A proactive problem-solver who can think on their feet
  • Valid driver's license required
Compensation & Work Model

$26 per hour. Temporary, onsite position — August 8th & 9th, 2026, 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM both days.

Location & Travel

Red Deer, AB. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to the event venue for both shift dates.
