Weekend Event Waste Management Crew – Red Deer, AB

If you like being active, enjoy being outdoors, and want a quick, well-paying weekend gig with a bit of excitement built in, this one's worth a look. You'll be joining the event operations crew for a major international endurance sports event taking place right here in Red Deer — the kind of event that draws athletes and spectators from across the region for a full weekend of competition and energy.

This isn't a desk job and it isn't a typical cleaning gig. You'll be part of a fast-moving team working behind the scenes to keep the whole event site clean, safe, and running smoothly from the opening whistle to the final finish line.

What You'll Be Doing

• Keeping the event grounds clean and presentable throughout each shift
• Picking up trash and disposing of filled garbage bags into dumpsters
• Placing fresh garbage bags into bins as needed
• Proactively spotting and resolving issues to keep assignments on track

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable being on your feet for a full shift, working outdoors and potentially in inclement weather
• Able to stay focused, alert, and aware throughout the shift
• Strong communicator — comfortable interacting with both staff and event patrons
• High work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail
• Reliable transportation to and from the event site (candidates with their own vehicle will be prioritized)

Compensation & Work Model

$22.00 per hour. Onsite — this is a hands-on, outdoor event role. A T-shirt can be arranged on request; no specific uniform is required.

Location & Travel

Red Deer, AB T4N 7E8. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to the event venue for both shifts:
Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day.
