Emergency Dispatcher

Become a key player in emergency services as an Emergency Dispatcher in Red Deer. Receive, evaluate, and coordinate responses for local and regional emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and assess 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls

• Coordinate dispatch with internal teams and agencies

• Maintain communication with responders and partner agencies

• Operate and troubleshoot communication systems

• Track and report on emergency resources' status

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Current Emergency Fire Dispatcher certification

• 40 wpm typing skills, corrected for errors

• Ability to handle high-stress conflicts

• Valid Alberta Driver’s license
