About the role:EHS Specialist
The EHS Specialist (WHSS) will act as the safety representative for their assigned facility, coordinating and implementing Amazon’s global safety program. You will be responsible for:
- Conducting safety training and coaching employees on safe work practices.
- Maintaining accurate safety metrics (daily, weekly, monthly) for reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with Amazon’s WHS standards and federal/provincial safety regulations.
- Performing job hazard analysis (JHA) and recommending risk mitigation measures.
- Monitoring workplace ergonomics and implementing safety improvements.
- Working flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as needed.
This role is crucial in reducing workplace risks and ensuring that Amazon employees work in safe and healthy conditions.

Requirements / SkillsBasic Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word for professional documentation.
- Experience maintaining confidentiality in safety and personnel matters.
- Knowledge of Canadian Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) laws.
- Experience in emergency response.
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation case management.
