Mediflex Talent Solutions is proud to partner with the Integrated Health Centre (IHC) in Brampton, a collaborative and patient-focused organization advancing holistic wellness and evidence-based care. We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join their interprofessional team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). Reporting directly to the Medical Director
, the RD will provide individualized and group-based nutrition care, deliver health promotion initiatives, and contribute to learner education consistent with the School of Medicine's commitment to academic excellence and health equity. This position is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about preventive health, chronic disease management, and contributing to a dynamic, team-based clinical setting.
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, collecting medical, dietary, and psychosocial information to identify nutrition-related concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients across the lifespan.
- Provide nutrition counseling to patients with conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and weight management.
- Monitor patient progress, document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Deliver culturally responsive and trauma-informed care, ensuring inclusivity for diverse populations.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate group education sessions and community workshops on healthy eating, disease prevention, and food security.
- Support the development and integration of nutrition-focused resources and tools within clinical and community programs.
- Refer patients to external supports such as public health programs, community food organizations, and social services where appropriate.
- Supervise and mentor learners from nutrition or health sciences programs during placements or practicums.
- Participate in interprofessional team rounds, clinical discussions, and Integrated Practice Education (IPE) initiatives.
- Develop educational materials and teaching tools that align with the School of Medicine's academic mission.
- Ensure adherence to College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO) regulations, IHC protocols, and privacy legislation (
PHIPA
). - Engage in continuing education, workshops, and professional development to maintain current, evidence-based practice.
- Participate in quality assurance, clinical audits, and risk management activities to uphold patient safety and service excellence.
- Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent (Master’s degree an asset).
- Registered Dietitian (RD) in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical or community-based nutrition experience

- Proficiency with EMRs and digital health tools for documentation and care coordination.
- Knowledge of public health nutrition
