As a Dietitian, you will provide essential nutrition support to long-term care residents, enhancing their wellness and independence. Your responsibilities include carrying out assessments, developing nutrition care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. You will also educate residents and empower families through evidence-based nutrition information.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct nutrition and dysphagia assessments
• Create and uphold personalized nutrition care plans
• Collaborate with care teams for consistent nutritional support
• Communicate nutrition goals and interventions effectively
• Educate staff, families, and residents on nutrition
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition or a related field
• Active registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta
• Completion of a recognized dietetic internship
• Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly long-term care
• Proficient in clinical nutrition specific to seniors' needs
