In this position, you will be tasked with maintaining your paramedic knowledge and skills as outlined by the Alberta Occupational Competency Profile. Responsibilities include safely operating emergency vehicles, working in hazardous conditions while ensuring patient safety, and creating complete patient care reports. You will also engage in community education programs to enhance public awareness of health services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate vehicles in compliance with regulations
• Maintain continuous readiness and safety of equipment
• Document patient assessments in a clear manner
• Assist in public education programs approved by MHS West
• Follow all operational guidelines for safety and quality
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Alberta Class 1, 2, or 4 Operators License
• Registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
• Current CPR certification and FARE Certification
• Ability to lift and move heavy patients
