BHN in Therapeutic Communities

Transform lives as a Behavioural Health Navigator at Beccarian Correctional Care in Red Deer. This role involves direct engagement and support for inmates through therapeutic programming tailored for recovery.

As a Behavioural Health Navigator, you will work closely with members in Therapeutic Living Units, providing guidance and mentoring. Your involvement in community activities ensures a healthy environment that supports recovery from substance use and mental health challenges. Active participation while modeling positive behavior is key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized therapeutic interventions for caseload members

• Manage program schedules and community activities

• Collaborate in clinical meetings and treatment plan reviews

• Respond to crises and support conflict resolution

• Maintain professional conduct and ethical boundaries

Requirements:

• At least three years of relevant experience

• Addiction certification programs preferred

• Familiarity with mental health issues in therapeutic settings

• Strong group facilitation and communication skills

• Lived experience in addictions is advantageous
