As a Dietary Aide, you will support the Food Services, Support Services, or Hospitality Manager to assist with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining dining areas. Work closely with residents, encouraging their independence and adhering to Optima Living's person-centered care model. Your commitment to food safety and hygiene will directly impact the quality of life for our seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure proper food presentation and portion control
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks
• Serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences
• Maintain cleanliness in dining areas before and after service
• Interact with residents to answer menu questions
Requirements:
• Experience in food services is an asset
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks
• Active Food Safe certification required
