Red Deer Resort & Casino is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with payroll legislation and internal controls.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple pay cycles
- Manage payroll changes, ROEs, and year-end activities including T4s
- Review and validate time and attendance data
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and CRA requirements
- Process payroll using Dayforce and support payroll-related accounting activities in Sage
- Participate in payroll system implementations or upgrades
- Support employees and leaders with payroll-related inquiries
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation
- 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried payrolls
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Experience with Dayforce and Sage is an asset
- Experience in hospitality, gaming, or multi-shift environments is an asset
