Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial, industrial buildings by performing the following duties. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate and consolidate the packing of all nightly outbound orders
  • Pack all orders using RF scanner to appropriate ship 's
  • Assist and unload order pickers, staging large material on outbound dock by route/dealer code
  • Loading loose material using RF scanner to trailers as required
  • Audit orders for accuracy-100% material inspection of all routes for part match vs part ordered, quantity match vs qty ordered and damage free.
  • Claims review and analysis. This is whenever customer claims a partial or full shortage of material inside the cage.
  • Shrink wrap skids/pallets as required
  • Print and ship B.O.L.'s as required
  • Track all outbound reusable containers
  • Sweep out and clean dock areas
  • Dock workers to clean bin locations within the PDC according to schedule.
  • Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
  • Plan and prepare employee work schedules.
  • Investigate complaints about service and equipment and take corrective action.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Check equipment to ensure that it is in working order.
  • Instruct staff in work policies and procedures and the use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.
  • Select the most suitable cleaning materials for different types of linens, furniture, flooring, and surfaces.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A.

A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software;
Inventory software;
Manufacturing software;
Payroll systems;
Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to travel 20% of the time. Travel will generally be for training.
