Caretaker (Competition #S2526-0288

Position:

• Part-time 0.525 FTE Caretaker position
• Located at Iron Ridge Secondary Campus in Blackfalds, AB.
• On-the-Job training will be provided to the successful candidate
• Shift time is 4:00 P.M. to 8:12 P.M.
• Duties to commence September 1, 2026

• Hourly salary range: $20.14 -$23.65/hr. based on experience, with opportunities for annual wage advancement.
• Benefit package may include Alberta School Employee Benefits Plan, Health Spending Account, and Local Authorities Pension Plan.

• Capable of working alone with minimal supervision, especially in the evening
• Physically able to preform all required duties, including but not limited to; lifting, bending climbing ladders, moving furniture, operating equipment, and snow shoveling
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
• Basic computer skills to access email, order forms and work orders
• Ability to maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, school staff, students, and the public
• Previous experience in all aspects of cleaning and maintaining a school would be considered an asset
