Join Alberta Health Services as a reliable Environmental Services II member, dedicated to maintaining cleanliness in healthcare facilities. This role involves safely cleaning patient and clinical areas following established standards.
In this part-time position at Red Deer Regional Hospital, you will be responsible for essential cleaning and disinfecting tasks within various hospital environments. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and preparing beds while utilizing industrial cleaning equipment. Additional responsibilities involve restocking supplies and reporting hazards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean patient rooms and clinical areas according to AHS standards
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment for floor restoration
• Restock bathroom supplies and replenish cleaning materials
• Identify and report potential hazards to your Working Leader
• Train new Environmental Services or Laundry staff as required
Requirements:
• Grade 10 completion or equivalent education
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push 50 lbs
• Experience in healthcare cleaning preferred
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods
• Knowledge of computer and smartphone operation
