Edon is anticipating growth in the Red Deer area and is looking for an experienced Contract Director
. This leadership position will oversee contractual obligations and operational excellence. You’ll lead an integrated Operations, Caretaking, and Grounds organization to deliver safe, high‑quality service while deepening a client partnership. This position will also steward Edon’s comprehensive maintenance program and contribute to special initiatives.

Key Responsibilities- Lead a large, multi-disciplinary team (60–80 employees) across operations, caretaking, and grounds.
- Ensure contract compliance and KPI delivery; manage reporting and governance.
- Oversee budgets, resource planning, and vendor management.
- Build strong client relationships and represent Edon in governance meetings.
- Champion safety and compliance, embedding OHS best practices.
- Support key research, learning, sustainability and building efficiency initiatives.
- Proven experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams in complex facilities or campus environments.
- Strong background in contract management, KPI governance, and budget accountability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Safety leadership experience; COR/ISO familiarity is an asset.
- Procurement & vendor management familiarity (service agreements, tendering, rate management).
- Post-secondary education preferred; certifications such as RPA, FMA, Power Engineering are considered assets.
