Advertising Sales Coordinator – Student Opportunity for 2026/27
Start Date(s) – April 2026
Contract End – April 30, 2027
NAITSA is seeking a motivated and outgoing student to join our team as a part-time Advertising Sales Coordinator. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in sales, marketing, and client relations while helping campus and local businesses connect with the NAIT student community through our various advertising platforms.
Responsibilities- Actively promote and sell advertising opportunities through NAITSA’s platforms, including Nugget print and web ads, student handbook, digital screens, newsletters, website banners, and event sponsor ships
- Identify and reach out to potential advertisers, including local businesses, student‑oriented brands, and campus partners
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and long‑term partnerships
- Prepare and present advertising proposals tailored to client needs and budgets
- Collaborate with the Communications and Nugget team to ensure ads meet brand and design standards
- Track sales activity, prepare reports, and meet or exceed monthly sales goals
- Support the creation of marketing materials and assist with promotional campaigns as needed
- Other duties may be assigned based on marketing needs and the successful candidate’s skills, interests, and availability
Eligibility and Availability:
- Must be a current NAIT student enrolled for the full 2026/27 academic year, until at least April 2027
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General knowledge and interest in marketing, social media, and promotions
- Professional, organized, and able to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently
- Experience or coursework in sales, marketing, business, or communications is an asset
- Prior customer service or sales experience is considered an advantage, but not required
- Base Pay: $300 per month
- Commission: 40% on ad sales, up to a predetermined maximum amount
- Flexible schedule that accommodates academic commitments
- This is a part‑time flexible role, with an expectation of minimum 5 hours per week to fulfill job responsibilities
