Your Opportunity:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, multi-modality environment. Key role and responsibilities are to educate and provide pre/intra/post procedure care for patients having a variety of Diagnostic Imaging Procedures. The LPN will monitor and evaluate the patient’s condition and provide care as required through the continuum of the Diagnostic Imaging visit.
The DI LPN works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will be scheduled to fill DI LPN shifts specific to patient procedure preparation and recovery as well as intra procedure care.

You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.
Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
AdditionalRequired Qualifications:
Demonstrates commitment to patient and family centered care. Ability to multitask and care for acutely ill and unstable patients. Critical thinking and ability to manage unpredictable situations. Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, physical assessments and aseptic techniques. Certification in IV initiation, direct IV medication, CVC, PICC lines, blood glucose and procedural sedation. Must be a team player, adaptable and flexible and the have the ability to jump in and help at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:Acute care nursing experience. Proficient in Microsoft applications and Connect Care.
