Become a Certified Nurse Midwife with Allina Health, where you will provide essential support during labor, including water births and VBAC services. Engage with families in a natural birth environment focused on individualized care.
Your primary role involves providing midwifery services in collaboration with OB and maternal fetal medicine teams. Attend 40-50 births monthly and adhere to established standards from the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
Your role is crucial in ensuring a respectful, safe birthing experience for every family.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support mothers during labor with various birth options
• Work closely with OB and maternal fetal specialists
• Attend numerous births monthly across three clinics
• Follow standards established for midwifery practice
• Ensure professional liability insurance is maintained
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• Current Registered Nurse license in Minnesota
• BLS certification must be acquired within 180 days
• AMCB certification required upon hiring
• Preferred Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing or related field
