Family Centered Registered Nurse NICU

Be a part of Red Deer Regional Hospital's NICU team as a Family Centered Registered Nurse. Deliver high-quality nursing care to newborns while ensuring family involvement and support.

This role as a Registered Nurse in the NICU requires a candidate with strong nursing skills and a passion for working with families. You will be instrumental in providing patient-centered care in a Level 2 NICU, effectively managing care processes and building trust with families. Prior charge nurse experience is an advantage as you lead nursing initiatives to promote safety and health for the youngest patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide competent nursing care to high-risk newborns

• Involve families in all aspects of care

• Utilize critical thinking in decision-making

• Teach and counsel families about care approaches

• Promote a safe and organized work environment

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program

• Active practice permit with CRNA

• BCLS certification required

• Basic computer skills for documentation

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
