Biodiversity Parks Labourer Position

This temporary, full-time position is perfect for those with relevant labour experience and an interest in environmental restoration. You will engage in various activities like reclaiming forest areas, tree planting, and managing biohazard situations in urban environments. A good understanding of arboricultural practices and experience with power equipment is required for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct wildfire mitigation and fuel management
• Use and maintain chainsaws and other equipment
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
• Assist in community events and stakeholder communications
• Adhere to safety guidelines at all times
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 10 education and six months of related experience
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License
• Experience with chainsaw operations
• Understanding of vegetation management practices
• Capacity to work outdoors in varying weather
