The City of Red Deer is seeking a dedicated Parks Labourer 2 to join its seasonal workforce. This position involves performing operational tasks like equipment handling, facility maintenance, and contributing to biodiversity efforts. Candidates will lead teams, train others, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards while maintaining public green spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support parks maintenance operations and team training
• Carry out duties related to urban encampment cleanups and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and city guidelines
• Safely operate and maintain vehicles and tools
• Document daily reports, time entries, and work orders
Requirements:
• Grade 10 and 1.5 years of related experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Standard First Aid certification
• Proven ability to work outdoors in any weather
• Experience in team leadership and mentoring
