Lead outdoor maintenance efforts as a Parks Supervisor in the Town of Olds. This hands-on leadership position focuses on managing a dedicated team and ensuring pristine community parks and facilities.
As a Parks Supervisor, you'll report to the Manager of Recreation while guiding a team of Parks Operators and seasonal staff. Your knowledge in horticulture, turf care, and equipment operation will be essential in maintaining sports fields, trails, and outdoor facilities. Effective coordination and communication are vital, particularly during the peak months when the crew expands significantly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate work schedules for your crew
• Manage maintenance of parks, trails, and recreation areas
• Operate and maintain mowing equipment and tractors
• Plan and oversee seasonal maintenance and projects
• Address community inquiries and ensure safety inspections
Requirements:
• Experience in supervising parks maintenance crews
• High school diploma and relevant certifications
• Knowledge of safe work practices in landscaping
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license
• First Aid/CPR certification and additional certifications within 12 months
