The Town of Olds is looking for a Supervisor – Parks to join our Community Services team! In this working supervisor role, you'll help maintain the parks, sports fields, trails, and outdoor recreation facilities our community enjoys.

What You'll Do
Lead your crew: Assign work, coordinate schedules, coach employees, and support safe, effective daily operations.
Get involved: Maintain parks, sports fields, trees, trails, and outdoor facilities using your knowledge of turf care, irrigation, horticulture, and equipment operation.
Operate equipment: Safely operate and maintain ride-on mowers, wide-area mowers, and small tractors while guiding employees in their proper use.
Plan and coordinate: Organize seasonal maintenance, resources, projects, and contracted work while ensuring Town standards are met.
Keep the community safe: Coordinate inspections, address hazards, respond to public inquiries, and manage work orders using PSD Citywide.
What You'll Bring
Experience supervising multiple crews in year-round parks, grounds maintenance, horticulture, or landscaping operations.
A high school diploma and relevant post-secondary certificate or diploma, or a recognized Landscape Horticulturist Journeyperson credential. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Practical knowledge of parks maintenance, equipment operation, staff supervision, and safe work practices.
A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence and current First Aid/CPR certification.
Additional parks-related certifications must be obtained within 12 months of hire, as outlined in the detailed job description.
What We Offer

A hands-on leadership opportunity where your work makes a visible difference in the community.
This fully on-site position includes outdoor work in varying weather conditions, rotational standby, emergency call-outs, and occasional evening or weekend work. Candidates must reside within 30 minutes of Olds to meet response requirements.
