OverviewCosmetics Formulation Chemist will utilize the knowledge of chemistry along with the creativity to formulate new skincare, haircare & body care products along with testing of the formulations for stability and quality. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing formulations destined for finished product. The key candidate will have effective time‑management skills and the ability to multi‑task, be able to work in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment, have good organizational skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
Whatcan you expect to do
- Formulate new personal care products including powder, liquid, and gel products to meet global standards within proposed timeline.
- Optimize formulated ingredients to meet cost objectives and to manage availability of raw materials.
- Follow the latest technologies in encapsulation, particle electrical charge control and dispersion mechanisms.
- Conduct stability testing and record results.
- Identify testing abnormalities and execute corrective actions.
- Review competitive products and trade publications and prepare reports on comparative tests, raw material information, and educational scopes.
- Manage daily laboratory operations and schedules.
- Monitor equipment operations and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and executing batch records and work instructions.
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to guidelines, and keeping treatment, storerooms and working areas
- Washing and sterilizing formulation glassware.
- Maintaining material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products.
- Contribute to scientific literatures, conferences, and meetings.
- Other related tasks as assigned, and as operationally required.
- Experience working in a laboratory setting & in a cGMP environment.
- Exposure working on skin care formulations.
- Previously demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively follow SOP’s.
- Bachelor of Science degree (preferably with a focus in Chemistry), or Bio-Technology diploma.
Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

- Day shift
