Sales Associate, Ace Liquor Innisfail

We are currently looking for friendly, outgoing, and customer service-driven individuals to join our team as Part-Time Sales Associates at our Ace Liquor Lake Bonavista store in Calgary.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exemplary customer service to every person who walks into the store, understand customer needs, and instill a customer mindset within the store; participate in stocking and merchandising of the store to ensure it is stocked and ready to serve customers.
  • Participate in opening and closing procedures (where applicable) and maintain store appearance and readiness.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service and greet customers when they enter the store, assisting them to products when required.
  • Generate sales by educating, advising, and suggesting products to every customer; maintain a high level of service and product knowledge by completing all training within the required timeline.
  • Assist customers in-store and/or offer car service when appropriate.
  • Complete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device, including payment; ensure all cash handling policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are performed correctly (when applicable) and complete end-of-day till reports (when applicable); ensure safe is locked and deposits are secured (when applicable).
  • Stock shelves and coolers with product; participate in merchandising and promotional activities; participate in routine store maintenance and cleaning.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and procedures (OHS, LP, Pro Serve/Serving It Right, and other rules) and participate in health inspections, audits, and required corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a retail environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Pro Serve/Serving It Right Certification;
    First-Aid Certification is an asset.
  • Training in wine/beer/spirits (preferred, not required).
  • Highly self-motivated, customer service driven, and strong teamwork and sales skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal); must be able to pass a background check and have access to reliable transportation.
