While conducting a Patient Watch you would be responsible for monitoring the safety, security, and confidentiality of patients who present a danger to themselves or others. This position requires an individual who can provide superior customer service and professionalism while carrying out the functions of the job. This position may require long periods of sitting.

Applicants must have open availability including willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts. A valid class 5 driver’s licence and willingness to travel to other hospital locations in your own vehicle is required. Mileage will be reimbursed at company rates.

• Monitor the patient’s overall safety and report any changes to security and/or hospital staff
• Ensure the safety of all stakeholders, including patients, clinical staff and visitors with de‑escalation techniques
• Log and report all incidents reported by hospital staff, physicians, patients or visitors and maintain a detailed log of all patient interactions
• Utilize two‑way radio and computer applications for communicating site activities
• Communicate in a truthful and receptive manner under all circumstances
• Must stay alert at all times
• Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
• Develop thorough site knowledge, and maintain professional relationships with sites and hospital staff
• Handle private and confidential information with a high amount of discretion
• Monitor and screen visitors and clients in a professional manner

High School Diploma/GED

• First Aid and CPR – Level C Certification
• Valid Class 5 Licence
