Position: Social and Community Support Role
Support community transformation as a Social and Community Service Worker with The Mustard Seed. This part-time role focuses on guest engagement and providing critical crisis intervention.

You'll play a vital role in connecting guests with the resources they need while fostering a safe atmosphere that promotes healing and growth. Reporting to the Community Impact Centre Supervisor, engage with community members to create supportive relationships and assist with essential services and programs aimed at alleviating homelessness and poverty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake and resource assessments for guests

• Encourage and lead community participation in programs

• Utilize crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills

• Perform safety checks and enforce cleanliness

• Manage incident reports and program assessments

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Social Work preferred

• Proven communication skills with diverse groups

• Experience with conflict resolution and team dynamics

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

• Must meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility criteria
